It was supposed to be a momentous occasion for Tim, who soon after finding his “Realtor for Life” on fb Home Buyer’s Educational Page to list his townhouse, locate a distressed property to renovate and build equity, began recounting his very first home purchase experience.
r
When I first met with Tim and his Realtor, he was adamant about telling us about his disappointment with his first agent. After signing a thick stack of documents and taking part in the ceremonious passing of the keys, something felt off for the then 28-year-old Jefferson Parish, LA, resident.
r
There wasn’t even a chilled bottle of bubbly or a house warming gift to punctuate this pivotal moment every home buyer should experience.
r
His first agent told him that he could take him out to Ruth Chis for dinner, Tim recalled. We all know working with a potential home buyer and even more so, first time home buyers comes with their far share of complications, but every home buyer deserves the best possible expirence, regardless of their situtation. Agents with the designation of Realtor insures no matter what types of issue a client has, their expirence will guide them through the processing becoming a satisfied Homeowner from the start and even long after the closing. Realtors invest a lot to obtain their designation and doing so makes them better equipped to address a host of situations. Realtors aren’t just selling homes, they’re looking for long term relationships. So whomever you select to represent you make sure they have a Realtor designation.

After Tim and I got to know each other I set up a meeting with him, his wife and their Realtor to explain First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation FHA 203K Renovation Strategy. As we got started he kept to telling us more about his first home purchase, how he’d wished he’d known how to locate a Realtor and looked forward the working with an experienced team of professionals this time around.
r
Just a few years after closing on his first home, Tim had dished out thousands of dollars to replace a badly splintered deck and a tired air conditioning system the home inspector failed to include in his inspection. I explained to Tim that by selecting a Realtor from fb Home Buyer’s Educational Page he had found a Realtor that had a great team of professionals behind them and felt curtain he’d have a great experience. Afterall, Realtors that are knowledgeable about guiding a home buyer through the distressed home market and are some of the best in the industry.
r
Needless to say the townhouse Tim had first purchased was a 16-year-old end unit with a cozy proximity to the busy street. His Realtor commented that she’d make a note that calling early shouldn’t be an issue, hearing how he couldn’t sleep past 7 am, because he woke up to the sound of rush hour traffic. When you’re selecting a Realtor the key to any great experience is locating one that wants to learn about you and the first in a series of steps that makes them your ”Your Realtor for Life”.
